गेम के बारे में

Riichi mahjong in 3D with the full rules: riichi, dora and ura dora, furiten, calls, all the yaku with a han and fu breakdown, four levels of cute animal opponents, a twelve-stage ladder and a hands-on tutorial.

Japanese riichi mahjong is the version played in parlours and on every online mahjong app: thirteen-tile hands, four sets and a pair, 136 tiles with red fives, and the rule that defines it, riichi. Declare it with a closed hand that is one tile from winning, put a 1,000-point stick on the table, and a hidden ura dora may be waiting under the dora indicator.

Sit at a black-lacquer table in a mahjong parlour with tatami, shoji and paper lanterns and play three animal opponents: a tanuki, a kitsune, a black Shiba, a lucky cat, a snow monkey, a moon rabbit, a wild boar and a brown bear. Each has a name, a personality and plenty to say.

The rules follow the common online (Tenhou-style) rules, with switches for the rest: chi, pon and kan, all three kinds of furiten with an on-screen badge and the reason, dora, ura dora, kan dora and red fives, every yaku and yakuman, han and fu scoring from mangan to counted yakuman, honba and riichi sticks, tenpai payments, abortive draws, hanchan and tonpuusen. After every hand a screen names each yaku, counts han and fu and shows who pays what; the Yaku list shows each yaku with a real winning hand; hints give a reason and explain why a complete hand cannot win. Points only: no money, no stakes.

The Tournament Ladder is twelve stages across four halls, three stars each, unlocking new animals, felts and tile backs. An eight-lesson tutorial on the real table teaches sets, drawing and discarding, riichi, yaku, pon, chi, furiten and scoring. Use the seat view, an overhead view, the whole table in one tap or a close-up, and orbit, pan and zoom freely; phones in portrait get a two-row hand with tiles you can read. Twelve languages (Japanese by default on Japanese devices), touch, keyboard and controller support, no network needed.

कैसे खेलें

  1. Make four sets and a pair with your 13 tiles plus one more, and it must have at least one yaku. A set is a run of three (123) or three of a kind. Dora add value but are not a yaku.
  2. Draw a tile, then discard one. Tap a tile to select it, tap it again to throw it. The tenpai panel shows what you wait for and how many are left.
  3. When a closed hand is one tile from winning, press Riichi and throw a tile that keeps you waiting. You pay a 1000-point stick, win an extra han, and the ura dora under the dora indicators count for you. After riichi you cannot change your hand.
  4. Pon: take a discard to make three of a kind. Chi: take the left player’s discard for a run. Kan: four of a kind. Calling opens the hand: no riichi, fewer han on some yaku, and you must keep a yaku (yakuhai, tanyao...).
  5. Tsumo: win on your own draw. Ron: win on somebody’s discard. Points follow han and fu: 5 han is mangan (8000 for a non-dealer), 6-7 haneman, 8-10 baiman, 11-12 sanbaiman, 13 and yakuman 32000. The dealer wins 1.5 times as much.
  6. You cannot win by ron if a tile you wait on is in your own river, or if you passed a winning tile (until your next discard, or for the rest of the hand in riichi). You can still win by tsumo. The game shows a Furiten badge.
