遊戲介紹

Japan's flower-card game in 3D: match the months, collect Brights, animals and ribbons, and decide between koi-koi and shobu, against cute animal opponents in a tea room whose garden follows the seasons. Hands-on tutorial included.

Hanafuda Koi-Koi (花札 こいこい) is the classic Japanese game played with the 48 flower cards. Sit down at a kotatsu in a ryokan tea room with a deer, a moon rabbit, a lucky cat or a fox, while the garden outside changes with the month you are playing: pine in January, plum, cherry, wisteria, iris, peony, bush clover, pampas grass, chrysanthemum, maple, willow and paulownia. Each turn you play a card from your hand and turn up one from the deck, taking the cards that match by month. Collect Brights, animals, ribbons and plains into yaku such as Sanko, Inoshikacho, Akatan, Aotan and the sake-cup combinations, then choose: Shobu to stop and score, or Koi-koi to push your luck for more, knowing that if the other animal makes a yaku first, they score. Seven points or more are doubled. Eight interactive lessons teach every move by making you do it, ending with a coached month. A twelve-stage Four Seasons Ladder unlocks new animals, table cloths and card backs; quick games run three, six or twelve months at four computer levels; the Rules screen has a switch for each common house rule (seven-point doubling, the koi-koi penalty, the sake cup, bonus points, Teshi and Kuttsuki). The yaku tracker shows what each pile has, what is missing and where those cards lie; hints name the best move and why. Every card is original paper-cut art drawn in code. Every card lies flat on the cloth, and your whole hand always fits the screen in landscape and portrait; zoom and slide the view freely or jump to the full table in one tap. Twelve languages, touch, keyboard and controller, no network. Points only: no money, no stakes.

玩法

  1. 48 cards in 12 months of four, each month a flower. The cards are Brights (5), Animals (9), Ribbons (10) and Plains (24). Press and hold any card to enlarge it.
  2. Play a card from your hand. If a card of the same month lies on the table, take both. Then turn up the top card of the deck and do the same. A card that matches nothing stays on the table. When three cards of a month lie on the table, the fourth takes all four.
  3. Combinations of the cards you have taken are called yaku. Make a new one, or make an old one bigger, and you decide what to do next.
  4. Shobu ends the month and scores your yaku. Koi-koi keeps the month going so that you can score more, but if the other animal makes a yaku first, they score instead. A month worth 7 points or more is doubled.
  5. A match is 3, 6 or 12 months, one flower each. Whoever wins a month deals the next. The higher total at the end wins. Points only: nothing here is money.
