Big Two (大老二) is the Taiwanese climbing card game: four players, thirteen cards each, and the first to play them all wins. Sit at a tea-house table in a night market with a Formosan black bear, a sika deer, a koala, a tanuki and other cute animals. Beat the table with a higher single, pair, three of a kind or five-card hand, or pass and save your 2s.
The rules follow the usual Taiwan table: Spades are the highest suit, the 2 is the highest card, the 3 of Clubs opens the game, and the points you pay depend on the cards you are left holding (doubled at 8 or more, tripled at 10, quadrupled at 13). Tables differ on straights, flushes and three of a kind, so the Rules screen has a switch for each. Four computer levels that really count cards, hints that explain themselves, a combo helper, a record of every card played, an eight-lesson tutorial played on real deals, and a twelve-stage Night Market Ladder. Your whole hand always fits the screen, in landscape and in portrait; orbit and zoom freely or jump to the full table in one tap. Twelve languages, touch, keyboard and controller, no network. Points only: no money, no stakes.
玩法
- Each player gets 13 cards. Be the first to play them all. Everyone else pays you points for the cards they still hold.
- Select the cards you want to play and press Play, or press Pass. You play the same kind of combination as the table, only higher: one card, a pair, three of a kind, or a five-card hand.
- The player who leads picks the kind of play. Others beat it or pass. When three players pass in a row, the last player to play wins the round and leads the next one.
- From lowest to highest: straight, flush, full house, four of a kind plus any card, straight flush. A higher kind beats a lower kind.
- Cards run 3 low up to 2 high. Suits run Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades (Spades highest). The 3 of Clubs opens the game.
