About the game
Beat your wings left and right to climb an endless sky, collect brass cogs and dodge everything else up there.
Cogwing is a one-touch endless sky-climb. You pilot a tinker-mouse aviator in a canvas-and-brass ornithopter: tap the left or right half of the sky and each wingbeat lifts you and pushes you that way, so steering and staying airborne are the same decision. Fly through clusters of bronze, silver and gold cogs to score, snatch a 2x or 3x updraft boost to multiply every cog for a short while (and climb faster while it lasts), and thread past crows, hot-air balloons, box kites, runaway umbrellas, storm clouds and pinwheels. You fly with three wings: every collision, and every sink below the bottom of the sky, costs one, and the flight ends when the last is gone. The sky tightens the further you climb. A built-in Sky Editor lets you design a repeating segment of cogs, boosts and hazards and fly your own sky. Runs entirely offline from a single file, in eleven languages, with full gamepad support.
How to play
- Tap the left or right side of the sky to beat your wings — each flap lifts you and pushes you that way.
- Fly through cogs to score. Bronze 1, silver 2, gold 5.
- Grab a 2x or 3x boost to multiply every cog for a short while — and climb faster.
- Dodge everything else in the sky. Every collision costs one of your three wings.
- Sinking off the bottom of the sky costs a wing too — keep flapping.
