About the game
Plant a brigade of garden critters to shoo snails, beetles, moles and bullfrogs away from the Burrow, across sixty levels in six hand-built 3D gardens.
An original garden-defence game built for seatback in-flight entertainment. The pests are coming through the hedge, and the Burrow's crew is ready: Acorn Squirrels, Honey Hives, prickly Hedgehogs, Frogs that gulp a pest whole, Owls that turn their heads right round, Magpies that steal tin cans, and a dozen more. Plant them on the lawn, tap the golden honey to afford more, and shoo every pest before it reaches the door. Nobody gets hurt: shooed pests just scurry off, dizzy.
SIXTY LEVELS across six gardens: the Sunny Backyard, the Moonlit Garden, the Lily Pond, the Misty Marsh, the Greenhouse Roof and the Harvest Festival. Every garden brings new crew and new pests: grasshoppers that hop your defences, moles that tunnel behind them, raccoons behind bin lids, crows and wasps overhead, pigeons that carry your crew off, beavers laying planks, and wheelbarrows that flatten everything. Each garden ends with a boss, and the last is Baron Ratchet's harvester machine.
THREE STARS on every level, plus CHALLENGES: Hedgehog Bowling, Whack-a-Pest, Belt Blitz, Last Stand, Pest Boss puzzles where you send the pests, and the Endless Garden. Play TACTICS, a turn-based duel of gardener against pest boss, against the computer or a friend on one screen, or PLAY A FRIEND over the net: take turns, or defend one garden side by side. Every model is hand-built in 3D, eleven languages, controller supported, and it all runs offline in one file.
How to play
- Pick a crew card, then tap a square on the lawn to plant it. Each crew member costs honey.
- Tap the golden honey drops to collect them. Honey falls from the sky by day, and Honey Hives make more.
- Pests march in from the hedge. Shoo them before they reach the Burrow on the left!
- Each row has one garden roller. If a pest reaches the end, the roller clears the row, but only once.
- Three stars: save the garden, keep every roller, and beat the level's own challenge.
- Tactics and Play a Friend: take turns as gardener and pest boss, or defend one garden together.
- Change the view with the camera button beside pause, the C or V key, or a gamepad's View button: the whole garden, low from the Burrow looking up the lanes, close up among the crew (on an upright phone it follows the pest nearest the Burrow and rises to the whole garden while you hold a card), or straight overhead. Your choice is kept.
