About the game

Fly a biplane anywhere in a huge open sky with a joystick: visit six places, find hidden sky gems, and chase stars past the storms.

A flying game in a huge open sky. Put a finger anywhere and a joystick appears under it: steer your red Pitts biplane left and right, climb and dive, hold Boost to race along and tap Loop for a loop-the-loop. Six places to fly to — Cloud Castle, Floating Islands, Rainbow Arches, Lighthouse Bay, Balloon Fields and Flock Peaks — with 18 sky gems hidden among them and a ring course at each. Play Star Quest to collect stars and fly through gold rings all over the sky while dodging storm clouds and, every fifth level, a supercell that hunts you; or pick Free Flight and just explore, with no storms and no lives. Five cameras from close behind the plane to top-down, three lives per run, endless levels, and a Sky Editor for building your own.

How to play

  1. Put a finger anywhere and a stick appears under it. Push left or right to turn. Like a pilot’s stick, push up to dive and pull down to climb (Settings can swap this). Hold Boost to go faster, tap Loop for a loop-the-loop. Keys: arrows or WASD to fly (up dives, down climbs), Space to boost, E to loop.
  2. Collect every star and fly through every gold ring to clear a level. The gold arrow points to the nearest one. Each level sends you to a different part of the sky.
  3. Dark storm clouds cost a life. Some sit still and some drift in — a red marker shows one coming. Every fifth level a supercell hunts you and shows the line its lightning will strike: climb, dive or turn out of it.
  4. Six places to visit: Cloud Castle, Floating Islands, Rainbow Arches, Lighthouse Bay, Balloon Fields and Flock Peaks. The map in the corner shows where they are. Fly too far and a friendly wind turns you home. Bumping into things is safe, but it breaks your chain.
  5. No storms and no lives — just fly. Find the 18 sky gems hidden around the six places (they twinkle when you are close), and fly through each place’s ring course. What you find is saved.
  6. You start with three. Lose them all and the run ends — your best score is kept.
  7. Collect the next star or ring quickly to keep your chain going: every fourth in a row adds one to each one’s worth. Rings are worth two. Bumping into anything breaks the chain.
  8. Change the view with the camera button, the C key, or a gamepad’s View button: close, chase, cockpit, high or top-down.
