About the game

Drag back, let go, and fling a fledgling from nest to nest across an orchard. Sweep up stars in mid-air, dodge cats, hawks, webs, spiders and an acorn-throwing scarecrow, and land soft. Three hearts per stage, eight stages, three stars to earn on each.

Feather Fling is a short, calm physics game about one clean arc. Touch the fledgling and drag backwards: the dotted trajectory shows exactly where the flight goes, and the further you pull the more power you get. Let go and the bird flies on pure ballistics - there is no mid-air steering, so every landing is decided before you release.

Each stage strings together a chain of nests. Land in the next nest to score; miss it and you lose a heart and try the corridor again. Stars floating along the flight path are a separate currency that unlocks new birds, all of which are purely cosmetic - no bird flies differently, so a high score is always about the shot and never about the unlock.

Hazards arrive one type at a time: a cat waiting on a branch, a hawk patrolling a stretch of sky, a sticky web, a spider on a thread, and a scarecrow that locks a reticle on you and lobs an acorn. The Course Editor lets you build your own flight path - place nests, stars and each hazard, then play it - and your layout is saved separately for portrait and landscape.

The whole game is a single self-contained file with no network access of any kind.

How to play

  1. Touch the fledgling and drag backwards. The dotted arc shows where the flight goes; pull further for more power.
  2. Let go to launch. Once airborne the bird is on its own, so pick the angle before you release.
  3. Drop into the next nest to score it. Fall into the undergrowth and you lose a heart.
  4. Sweep through stars in mid-air. Stars unlock new birds.
  5. Cats, hawks, spiders, webs and the orchard scarecrow’s acorns all cost a heart. Three hearts per stage.
