About the game
American mahjong in 3D on an original card of 57 hands: the Charleston with real taps, jokers and exposures, joker swaps, a card you can scroll and filter, four AI levels, a cruise-ship ladder and a hands-on tutorial.
American mahjong has its own rhythm: 152 tiles with eight jokers and eight flowers, thirteen tiles in your rack, and a card of winning hands you must match exactly. Sit down in a sunny card room on a seaside liner and play against seven animals: Colette the poodle, Walter the koala, Flo the lion cub, Professor Otis the otter, Bandit the raccoon, Carl the puppy and Duchess the Persian cat.
Every hand begins with the Charleston: tap three tiles to pass right, across and left, with a blind pass, a vote for a second round and a courtesy pass. Then draw, discard, expose sets of three to six like tiles with jokers standing in, swap a natural tile for a joker in anybody’s exposure, and call Mahjong only on a hand from the card, or your hand goes dead.
The card is original: Airporio Card 2026 holds 57 hands in ten families, worth 8 to 32 points and double with no joker. It is not the card of any league and nothing is copied from one. Read it, filter it to the hands you can still make, zoom, and ask for hints that name the hands to aim for. Four computer levels, a twelve-stage Cruise Ladder, an eight-lesson tutorial with real taps, phone-friendly two-row racks and twelve languages. Points only: no money, no stakes.
How to play
- Make one of the hands on the card with your fourteen tiles. Hands are built from sets of three to six alike tiles, pairs and single tiles, plus flowers and jokers.
- Before play, everybody passes three tiles right, then across, then left (the last pass may be blind). If all four agree there is a second one, and a courtesy pass across may follow.
- Draw a tile, then discard one. Tap a tile to select it and tap it again to discard. Players call their discards out loud.
- You may take a discard only to expose a set of three to six like tiles (jokers can help), or to win. There are no runs. If several players want it, Mahjong beats an exposure, and then the nearest in turn order wins.
- A joker stands for any tile in a set of three or more, never in a pair or a single. On your turn you may swap a natural tile for a joker in anybody’s exposed set. A discarded joker cannot be claimed, and jokers are never passed.
- Only a hand on the card wins, exactly as written. Open The Card to see all 57 hands; the Still possible filter shows the hands you can still make, and Hint names the one to aim for. A hand marked C is concealed: no exposures at all.
