गेम के बारे में

Real 3D squash you play with one finger: swipe up to drive, down to drop, sideways to boast off the wall. A 30-level Tour across five courts, an endless Gauntlet, and a ball that warms up as you hit it.

Airporio Squash is 3D squash played with a swipe. Up is length: a drive down the side wall, or cross-court if you lean it across; swiped gently, a lob. Down is short: gently a drop into the front corner, hard a kill. Sideways at the nearer wall is a boast, off the side wall to the far front corner. Your player runs to the ball and gets out of the way afterwards; the timing and the choice of shot are yours.

Two players share one court, and the walls are the game. The ball is hollow rubber: cold, it barely bounces; it warms as it is hit and cools between rallies, so a hard rally makes it livelier and a cold court keeps it dead. Every wall and floor contact is worked out with real friction and spin, and a ball that finds the nick, where the floor meets a wall, rolls out dead. A drive that clings to the side wall and dies in the back corner takes your opponent off the T; then the drop is a long way for them to run. Play the same shot to the same corner and they will be waiting there.

You share the floor fairly. If a player is in the way of the other's swing, or of the ball's path to the front wall, nobody swings: the referee gives a let, and the rally is played again, or a stroke, and the point is awarded. Nothing is ever hit at a person.

The Tour takes you through five courts - a plaster club court, an old court with a boarded floor and no heating, an all-glass show court on a stage, a glass court in a city square at dusk, and one on a rooftop on a warm night - in 30 levels: drills with a coach (length, cross-court, drops, serving, the boast, lobs, volleys, kills) and matches against named opponents from beginner upward, each court ending with its final. Earn up to three stars a level. Then the Gauntlet: one game against a stronger opponent every round, three lives, no last round.

Real rules: every rally scores, games to 11 by two, best of three or five, the serve from a service box to the opposite back quarter above the service line. Five camera views starting from behind your player, a hand-written tango with its own Music button, and the sounds of a real court. Eleven languages. One self-contained file with no network requests, so it plays offline at 38,000 feet.

कैसे खेलें

  1. Squash: two players, one court, four walls. Every rally scores a point. A game is to 11 and must be won by two. Whoever wins the rally serves next.
  2. A good shot reaches the front wall above the tin (the board along its foot) and below the out line, before the ball has bounced twice. It may touch the side walls or the back wall on the way there or back. You must hit it before its second bounce.
  3. Serve from a service box: the ball must meet the front wall above the service line and come down in the opposite back quarter. Win the point and you serve from the other box.
  4. Hit with a swipe anywhere on the screen (with a mouse, drag and let go; on a keyboard, the arrow keys; on a controller, the right stick). There are no shot buttons: the swipe is the stroke.
  5. Timing: swipe as the ring in the air closes and turns green. Swipe early to cut the ball off on the volley; wait and you take it after the bounce. Too early and you swing at nothing. A ball tight on a wall, dying in a back corner or barely off the floor is hard to hit well.
  6. Length, width and the T: after each shot both players head for the T, the middle of the court. A drive that clings to the side wall and dies in the back corner takes your opponent off it; then the drop or the boast to the front is a long way for them to run. Hit the same shot to the same corner and they will be waiting there.
  7. Let and stroke: you share the floor. If a player is in the way of the other's swing, or of the ball's path to the front wall, nobody swings: the referee gives a stroke (the point) or a let (play it again). A loose shot that comes back at you can cost you a stroke.
  8. The ball is hollow rubber: cold, it barely bounces. It warms as it is hit and cools between rallies, so a long hard rally makes it livelier and a cold court keeps it dead.
  9. Moving: your player runs to the ball and clears for you. To move yourself, set Movement to Left stick in Settings.
  10. Camera: the camera button (or C) changes the view: behind your player, over the shoulder, through the back wall, from the gallery, and from the front wall.
  11. Music and sound: the note button switches the music off and leaves the sounds of the game; Sound (or M) switches everything off.
