About the game
Cinderella's tale told as ten short games in ten places - keep a fire in three bands, sift lentils from ash, read the turnings three ahead, and work out which foot the slipper was made for.
A ten-stage story arcade built from Grimm's Aschenputtel (1812) and Perrault's Cendrillon (1697), both public domain. Each stage is a different game in a different room: tending one fire across three heat bands in the wash-house, giving out what there is not enough of in the dressing room, sifting lentils out of the hearth ash, catching what runs in the kitchen garden, waiting for the moment in the midnight yard, reading the turnings three ahead on the night road, standing in the right figure on the beat in the ballroom, buying speed with being noticed on the palace stair, saying nothing about the lady in the chimney corner, and working out which foot the slipper was made for. Fully offline, one self-contained file. Nothing invented for the 1950 film appears anywhere in it - the provenance of every visual element is recorded in SOURCE_NOTES.md.
How to play
- Tap a room to send her there. She runs, works, and the task clears.
- Tap again while she works to queue up to three tasks ahead.
- Some tasks fill her hands. Carry the load to where it belongs.
- Repeat the same kind of work and each one goes faster.
- Weed the beds for grain, leave grain at the tree, and a dove will work for you.
- Finish early. The time you save is time you get at the festival.
